Photos from our garden – August 2022

August means harvest time for many plants we grow in bulk to store and use throughout the year. We harvest tomatoes, peppers, chard, winter greens, herbs, and garlic. Other plants and vegetables are still growing, but there will soon be a shift to more cold hardy winter greens and vegetables in our garden.

Some of our hotter pepper varieties growing outdoors are not yet ready to harvest. Growing some pepper plants indoors and others outdoors is one way we extend the growing season and make the most of our indoor growing space.
